Double re-loader system

The Re-Loader Tank System, a staple in self-unloading cement carriers, has stood the test of time. ⏳

Originally introduced by our Lion brand H.W. Carlsen around 45 years ago, this system’s core principles remain unchanged, though all components and the control system have been significantly upgraded and refined. These enhancements have led to higher unloading rates and reduced maintenance, all without increasing costs. 📈

This system operates by using vacuum pumps to transfer cement from the holds to one of two re-loader tanks. In the subsequent cycle, compressors convey the cement ashore to silos. Combined with our innovative fluidization inclined floors, this design ensures efficient cement flow and unloading. 🚢

A key feature of our hold fluidization system is the direct application of fabric on the inclined tank top. Once fluidized, the cement naturally flows to the lowest point in the hold, where it’s conveyed to the re-loader tanks by vacuum. 🌪️

For conversion projects, re-loader tanks can be installed on deck, preserving hold volume and simplifying installation and maintenance. 🛠️ For new builds, the tanks can be installed between bulkheads below deck, optimizing ship design for cost efficiency. 💡

The pneumatic Re-Loader Tank System is adaptable, allowing for mechanical or gravity-based unloading into silo trucks or bagging equipment.
